Monday, January 17, 2005 i don't really have much to say. one of my friend's got a little worried about the post, so i'm changing it before i sound too self-pitying. anyway, i just decided to laud the remarkability of comet. first, the pinball machine. while, now in today's modern pinball world, the comet seems quite blaise. actually, i never really enjoyed this machine to begin with, so i'll just leave it at "i enjoy pinball." now, comet cleaner, i swear this is the best stuff on earth for dealing any nastiness in your house. it cleaned the soap scum off the bathtub, the inside of the toilet, the stains all over the oven, and cleaned the tile floor. not only that, but a container of it only cost me $0.90. amazing stuff! finally, comets themselves are pretty cool. i wish i could boast having taken this picture, but alas, i'll give the credit to nasa. alright, hope everyone is doing well, and drop me a line sometime. later.

Friday, December 31, 2004 well, it's now 7:00 on a friday. although the new year kicks off in approximately five hours, i find myself still doing approximately the same thing i'd do any friday night at 7:00--drinking a beer and listening to music. now, many at this point may want to reflect upon this last year or spout out the prospects of the forthcoming year. unfortunately, i sense that my own memory as well as feeble grip on reality continually remains tenuous, and my concept of reality consistenly disentagles itself. therefore, i look foward to this upcoming year in the same way i look back on this past year-- god have mercy on those around me as i near that great deluge that continually floods my mind and eventually will overwhelm everyone around me and consume me whole. in the mean time, i will continue with the smaller things in my life that seem to bring some stability and peace (unfortunately, that variable now has been subtracted by one i believe, but that may be for her to decide).
on a different note, i will keep the christmas list posted (though i will eventually change the name), in order to allow those who wish to assist me in my continual capitalistic pursuits to acquire those items in either the forms of birthday, graduation, or get well gifts. on a closing note, santa proved useful this year. the top prize goes to the giver who put forth some creative effort. this involved getting a gift that i need, will use, and did not ask for thus surprising me and becoming a true christmas present. (drumroll please) and that gift was: 2 jars of peanut butter. lovin' it.
if i don't see you before the end of this year, it was good knowing you during 2004, i hope to see you in 2005. good luck, godspeed, and may your ship always find safe harbors, calm waters, and a strong wind to speed you on your journeys. farewell.

Tuesday, May 4, 2004 i've updated some of the pictures and how they're viewed. just some quick shout outs to xiomara and samantha for playing some pinball with me during class. otherwise, class would have been really boring.

Monday, April 12, 2004 i think my best writing comes when i'm on an airplane. alright, my only writing seems to come on an airplane. though, my best thinking definitely is in the shower. anyway, once again, i'm several thousand feet above the ground, speeding at 500 mph across the country. spring break 2004 was good. let's avoid the taratino-esque style and just start at the beginning. so there i was in the hot, steamy jungle of the vietcong...or not.
actually, i touched down in sacramento late on saturday/ early on sunday, picked up by kristen whisked off to stockton. after awaking, chris arrived and the three of us went off to play some ultimate. world's worst ultimate (but then again, i'm becoming an ultimate snob). anyway, slept then left for the bay area on monday morning to pick jamey up from the airport with chris. from there, the adventure begins. oh by the way, happy birthday me. after dropping by whitney at work, jamey, chris, and i (hereafter referred to as the boys, so as not to refer to any racial slurs that might offend offensive offenders) went to the berkeley campus in quest of alex. short stop to see mo, found alex's office, left a message, ate lunch at crepes a go-go. tres bien! the boys, not knowing what to do after playing some pinball at la val's needed to move the car from it's spot as not to get a ticket. just quickly, chris had his friends small mazda gx266r2-d2nc17 mobile. the boys, being tired from travels, walking, eating, and pinballing knew that we had no plans until an hour or two. so the obvious solution was to sleep in the car. very cramped, very hot, very restive. after waking, chris called information and got a hold of alex--sweet... needless to say, alex (on very short notice, so serious props to him), mo, whitney, and the boys went to the pool hall for some, well, pool and pinball. once again...sweet...after this we ate some thai, then mo left, but we picked up jo and johan (totally butchering the spelling). off to the albatross we go. some beers, some darts, and some creative thinking on jo and whitney's part. a doughnut for everyone with a toy on top covered in whip cream. sweet... i got a rubber frog. he was cool, but now he's lost. poor frog. weep for my frog. weep, dammit!! give me a moment....

*sniff*

sleep at jo and mo's. wake up and off to san francisco go the boys. anyway, spent most of the day in chinatown, fisherman's wharf, lombard street, and driving. we then went to stockton again to eat, drink, and sleep. on tuesday, jamey and chris left for santa cruz. you'll have to follow their story on some other webpage. maybe on christopher wu's webpage. after that, the week was a whirlwind of activities and meetings. i went on a boat twice and tried wake boarding once. i got up, but i couldn't stay up. went to happy hours, visited kristen's classroom briefly. watched a movie and played several games. hung out with the jones (great folks). hung out with a lot of kristen's teacher friends (also great folks). hung out with ultimate friends (also great folks) went to easter sunday church and ate a delicious brunch made by jo. stockton has some pretty fun people. a place is only as good as the people you hang out with. well, i'm freaking tired. ya' got to love the redeye flights. until later, be excellent to each other, and party on!

Saturday, April 3, 2004 once again, i only write, because i'm on a plane and my butt's got no place to go. otherwise, i'd probably being one of my other many activities (i'll let you all fanatasize something better than what i'm probably actually doing). anyway, just some quick updates. dart league didn't work out due to class conflicts. started playing both club and spring league for ultimate (good stuff. both teams are quite enjoyable...besides, it finally gives me some guys to hang around with...though marietta's man, mack seems very cool, too. and, of course, billy) right, back to me. family stuff could have been better, but i'm taking it fairly well (which slightly worries me). kristen seems fine. jamey's birthday is today. spent lunch with him, judie, and amanda, then i had to take a taxi after getting stuck in the subway again. a story which i thought i had written about earlier, but i see no mention of it. just briefly i had the "opportunity" to climb out of the subway and up through the sidewalk. thanks all due to a homeless guy throwing trash on the subway and starting a fire. today, for some reason the train just lost power. on a final note, hung out with all sorts of people on friday night (liz, mary, anisha, marie, etc.) rip roaring good time. whoever thought of happy hour should have won some fanatastic award (like a full year's subscription to "nintendo power" or something...) so enjoy the pictures. i only have some up of nyc in the snow and st. paddy's day (which ended up being very disappointing, unfortunately, due to the family entry above). alright, folks, i'll see you on my ouiji board.

Tuesday, February 17, 2004 i think this math class may be a great place to update this journal, so look (but don't touch or expect) new journal entries every tuesday. it looks like it may be a busy semester, but it doesn't seem to be harder, just busier. nyc is still cold. still not playing ultimate, though i have been playing in a "luck of the draw" dart tournament. unfortunately, i've been knocked out in the first rounds for the past two weeks. i thought i had something important to say, but i can't think... wait, i remember. my bay area pictures are becoming too cumbersome. i need to fix them somehow. i have a few ideas:
a)i could break them up into subdirectories like the wedding pictures
b)reverse the order, so the newer pictures are shown first
c)start removing some pictures (i'd prefer not to do this, though)
now, i know (or hope) that some people actually read this section, so email me, give me your suggestions for other alternatives or preferences.

Sunday, January 4, 2003 on the way back from california. good time. hung out with the likes of jon, scott, and monica for new years eve and day. jon whoop kristen and my ass in mille borne. such a driving adventure. we topped the new years day off with a nice bonfire. good time. otherwise, saw monica and bob, left jo a note in the refrigerator, and hung out with kristen's frisbee friends and the jones (mike, jen, and ethan). totally dig the jones. absolutely love hanging out with everyone in california. unfortunately no whitney or jo, but they'll be more times later. also, got to play some pinball again. egad, why does nyc lack pinball? got to play the lord of the rings pinball. it has potential, but i don't think i understand the table yet. alright, till later.

Saturday, December 27, 2003 well, santa has come and gone for another year. he produced rather well this year. i got a new winter coat, a nice pair of flannel lined khakis (which i'm currently wearing...though, it's really a tough call now whether i should wear underwear with them or not), a bread maker, a microwave, and the assorted sweaters. if i move to san diego (hypothetically speaking), would i still receive at least two sweaters each year? i've never been in a place where it didn't get cold at times (n.c. and ca were the closest and i still received sweaters for christmas). anyway, now i'm just chillun' at the jfk jet blue terminal. little pissed off at jfk. they used to have these free bus shuttles between the subway and the airport, but i arrived today to a whole new system. now they've got these trains, but it costs five dollars to ride it for the 5-10 minute trip to the airport. friggin' a... anyway, more about christmas. i left nyc on a friday night, only to get up on saturday to go to mel stufft's wedding. it proved to be a good time, but i'm still slightly weirded out with the friends getting married. didn't get to see any of the pa friends except dustin and monica briefly. i missed pete by a day, thumas and carley worked, and mark never came home. so basically, i spent most of my time playing video games and watching the return of the king (5 *'s) with dustin, poker and video games with the brother, and sitting at home watching movies (that nemo movie and phonebooth). and, of course, dustin and i did our annual golden corral trip. unfortunately, this year (i believe the second year in a row), it was only us. no peter and no chris wedge (whatever happened to that guy?) oh, i also got to play gammarauders with liam and briana. sadly, liam's bioborg draxx and his damn crimson tide gammajets stomped briana's muskor and fowlote tribe and my scav and rayzor tribe into nuclear waste. if you've never played gammarauders, you probably won't ever. just curse factoid voids, super gammajets, and reverse combat results if anyone ever mentions them to you. my new year plans you ask? well, the usual, getting drunk and not getting laid. actually, i believe that i will be going cross country skiing in yosemite. if not that, well, i'll just go to the fall back plan. with that finally said, my plane boards for good ol' oak-town, so i'll sign off (upload later), and wish everyone a happy new year's. later skater.

Saturday, December 13, 2003 well, last night brought about some entertaining moments at the keller christmas party. geneva, grant, and i took the train up to dobbs ferry. the food was good, the dancing was fun, and the alcohol was intoxicating. i'll just let you peruse the pictures. so go to...go, go...

Monday, December 8, 2003 alright, i apologize for the lack of material on the website again. at least it didn't hit the month long period of shelf sitting (which school cafeterias require of all their milk before being served to today's youth). anyway, i guarantee by friday i'll some new pictures up. i have a few of the snow storm, friends, and other things i currently can't think of. so until the mood strikes again...
